Hi there!
I am just a mum who wants the best for her kids.

During my 12 years as a teacher, I figured out the one simple ingredient that separated the kids who powered ahead from those who lagged.
It's not the kids, it's the parents.

The single differentiating factor that changes the course of a child's success in school is whether their parents spend time doing educational activities with their child or not.

I'm determined to instil a love of learning in my children to ensure their educational journey is smooth sailing.

My teaching philosophy is that hands-on is best and you will see real-world, hands-on activities (written by me) constantly featured throughout my resources.

I believe that EVERY child deserves equal access to education and want to offer support to any parent to achieve this by creating high quality, tested and tried, educational resources that kids love.
My 'Why'
Being a mum of three young boys, I am on the CONSTANT hunt for activities that will occupy them for more than 5 minutes so that I can put the washing on, organise dinner, or just sit quietly for a moment (most probably with a glass of wine). But, I also know I need to be a caretaker AND a teacher to maximise my child's educational opportunities. The kids in my classrooms who get the best outcomes have parents at home who expose them to academic activities. So, yes, absolutely, my kids play independently, but I also guide them through activities to enhance their learning. If you are looking for activities to keep kids busy and out of your hair, this site might not be for you - but if you want your kids to shine in life to achieve more than their peers, these resources can serve as powerful tools to help them fulfil their full potential.

Life is busy - oh, don’t I know! However, I have set aside a few mornings a week to sit with my children and teach them a new concept or practise a skill. By doing this, I have a firm understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement. I know that my eldest loves anything to do with maths but disengages with spelling, and I can see that my youngest loves to perform in front of a crowd - activities like the ones you can find on this site will support you to firstly, really get a grip with where your kids are at. Secondly, it will teach you how to cultivate activities to nurture and grow their strengths and practise and improve in areas they might not naturally be inclined towards.

Our schedule is busy, but we focus on completing one theme each week and have a dedicated space and time set aside to engage in the activities. My kids look forward to doing them with me every time! The activities are purposefully designed so they are not too wordy - I have to be honest; I scroll right to the bottom of a recipe post to the method and ingredients. I am a doer and like to get right down to business.

I am also a natural creator, and I designed all the resources on this site for my kids, so you can have confidence that you know they are tried and tested. I hope that your household will benefit from them, too!

Happy Learning!
